The Harford Building, 420-430 Mile End Road, London E1
BackContract Value: £2,120,000
Client: Harford Building LLP
Form of Contract: JCT Standard Form With Contractors Design 2011
Having worked closely with our client for 2 years, a planning application for this mixed use development was submitted in March 2011 and promptly granted in June 2011.
Creating nearly 12,000 sq ft of prime class A1, A2 & B1 commercial space across 3 individual ground floor units the project also included a two storey vertical extension providing 2, 3 & 4 bedroom duplex residential apartments.
The building is five storeys plus a basement and required to be extremely well managed given the existing 1st & 2nd upper floors remained in occupation by third parties throughout the entire period.
David Faint stated: “For many contractors this would not be their cup of tea, but Quadrillion were able to provide their wealth of expertise, experience and know how to the client and provide a workable solution to what is a tricky project”.
The scheme was within budget and was completed on time in December 2012.
